Thanks to this lady, I have developed a crush on orange and on citrus colours for summer. I'm not normally drawn to oranges and corals but as often as I have seen and heard about orange lately, my eye seems now to be drawn to it. Not only orange but oranges mixed with pinks.
While shopping in Tarjay on the weekend, I purchased this great bracelet set (I buy 98% of my jewelry from independent jewelry artists but now and then the price of costume jewelry can't be beat especially when it is seasonal) and Essie's "California Coral" which is currently gracing my nails.
The oranges I'm wearing may not be as bright as this table umbrella from my favourite local coffee haunt...
but they please me all the same....
and my Liz Claiborne t-shirt just rounds out the joy!
I'm feeling inspired enough to create something in shades of oranges and pinks. What summer colours are inspiring you?
Of course, I LOVE orange but I really love mixing pink and orange together! I will have to get the California Coral. I love Essie's polishes....my fave right now is Boathouse!

Orange is not my favourite colour I have to confess, but this year for some reason I had a thing about burnt orange flowers and grew them in pots. My purse is the brightest shocking pink with an orange silk interior, it always cheers me up.

ReplyDeletePINK is my favorite, you know! ;o) I am liking it paired with orange, though I don't wear the colors together myself as I don't look too good in orange--but admire such juicy pairing. ReplyDeleteI am not a coral person either, I buy it for polish wear it and then think, ick...I have SO much wasted polish. I happily give it away when I see how bad it looks on me, I am a picky, picky girl with my nails.
Hot pink is my color of choice...or reds. I just bought a new at Sally's when I bought my hair color. Wonder if it will stay or go? hmmm?
Oh how lovely! I really love bright greens and pink this time of year - and especially white. :) So cooling.
