Unfolding and Unfurling...

Anemone

(ə-nĕm'ə-nē) Any of various perennial herbs of the genus Anemone, native chiefly to northern temperate regions and having palmately lobed leaves and large flowers with showy sepals. Also called windflower.

When I was a little girl, I thought this flower was pronounced "anymoney"... I love how it's pronounced either way...my "old" way or the proper way.  However you pronounce it, watching this beautiful flower unfurl is a delight.

When my oldest was just a wee one, she couldn't say Elephant....she would say "ell-e-phon-tay"...to this day, she still says it :)
