And so we're here...it is 2013. What an odd sounding year, I'm not sure why I feel that way, but for the last few weeks when I would think of the new year to come it has seemed "odd" to me. Maybe it's the number 13 that's throwing me off. Maybe it's the number 20 in front of it.
I know it will be a few weeks before I've fully grasped this and I'm sure I'll still be writing 2012 when I need to write the date. Then again, maybe I won't. Maybe this "intention" thing I've got going on will keep me focused on what I'm writing.
It seems I've started the year on the right foot....I laughed at about 12:10 a.m. and I can't think of a better way to celebrate the start of a new year than with laughter. I'm hoping it will set the tone for the entire 12 months.
Here is to health, joy, prosperity, wonder and possibility as we begin the journey of this new year. Here is to getting along, to peace, to understanding. To less disrespect and disregard for one another and to more good will and stepping up to help those who need whatever it is we can offer.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to finish my glass of "bubbly" and tuck myself into bed.

Gorgeous images and a lovely post as always! I too am unsure about the sound of "2013"! Then again, I do not like odd numbers so maybe that is it for me. lol
ReplyDeleteI started off the New Year on a very wrong negative foot at 12:01 am and hope it does not set the tone for my year. I have to believe that I can just begin again with each new day.

DeleteHello Rose and thank you for swimming by my blog and leaving your comment. I thing flower frogs are interesting little elements and have used them to hold paint brushes, makeup brushes, pens and pencils and of tooth brushes in guest bathrooms LOL. Don't stop there, I'm going to attache my favorite vintage valentines to straws and place them in the glass frogs so I can display them. Let me know what you do with your frogs throughout the year.
